SOLD. Sugoi Compression Shorts

I havent been this sold on a product since Brooks released their stellar shoe, the Launch. I first discovered Sugoi’s compression socks a couple of months ago and had great results with them. From racing and training to sleeping in them as a recovery tool after hard workouts. You can find my compression socks review here.

After showing extra attention to my calves with these socks I decided to research Sugoi’s other compression products which focused on the hamstrings and quads.  Since ramping up my mileage last fall for longer races my hamstrings became pretty jacked up, you know the feeling…tight and sore despite all that stretching. Realizing the benefits of wearing the compression socks I decided to pull out the credit card and purchase Sugoi’s Piston 200 Compression Short.

Last week upon receiving the shorts, I instantly pulled them out of the package and tried to go for a run. But, I quickly realized that my run would be delayed, because it actually took me a few moments to get these shorts on. GOOD sign!

Tight shorts=awesome compression=happier legs!

As the sun rose Sunday morning, I was ready to tackle the marathon. Especially with the Sugoi compression from the waist down.  Yes, I ran 18 minutes faster than my first marathon. Yes, I know that the PR wasn’t completely due to the compression. Sure, my chicken legs were completely shot towards the end of the race. However, I can honestly say I believe the shorts helped my legs stay in tack for as long as possible and cut down on muscle fatigue. During the race we faced temps in the 70s and high humidity. I was surprised to learn these shorts were also very breathable which allowed the sweat to be wicked away from my skin.

Below is a great video about Sugoi’s compression technology. Hopefully, this allows you to see the true benefits past my story. Tonight will be another night of pizza and lounging around in the Sugoi’s shorts. Perfect recovery, my friends.
